Summer Holidays in Carinthia

Rest and relaxation at Lake Weissensee in Carinthia, Austria

A one-of-a-kind outdoor adventure against the imposing backdrop of the Weissensee Nature Park.

Here at Lake Weissensee, at an altitude of 930 m to 2,200 m in the Gailtal Alps, things are more intensive, quieter, more enjoyable. It is no coincidence that the cleanest swimming lake in the Alps is also called “nature’s playground”. A framework for nature has been created here from which everyone can benefit; for example, motor boats are frowned upon here, and residents operate their businesses with care for their natural environment.

Here you will find lovely nature-friendly accommodation with hosts who offer delicious treats from the Nature Park. No frills, but lots of authenticity; pure enjoyment that you can taste; with gentle tourism and resource-saving recreational activities. Awarded the “European Prize for Tourism and the Environment”, the “European Village Renewal Award”, and - since 2013 - a member of the “Alpine Pearls”.
