Cable lift during summer
Summer holidays with the cable car
Hiking at Weissensee...
All around Weissensee, we have more than 200km clearly marked hiking paths from 930 to 2,300 metres above sea level. Master the first metres of altitude easily with our modern lift. Starting at the mountain station, you can reach numerous worthwhile hiking destinations, such as Naggler Alm, Mittagsnock, the Kohlröslhütte lodge, the peak of Golz, or Hermagorer Bodenalm.
Mountain-biking at Weissensee...
Our special mountain bike chair lift brings you and your bike comfortably to Naggler Alm. The mountain bike technique course set up there (mounting-biking trail MW 9) is a round course with nine practice stations just for having fun or for improving your technique. For a high-speed trip back down to the valley take Trail 5 - the Naggler Alm round. About 10 mountain-biking trails with a length of 150km are available to you all around Weissensee. Connecting routes to the Gailtal and Carinthian Alps opens up an Eldorado with a total of 800 kilometres in labelled mountain-biking trails.
Nordic walking and jogging at Weissensee...
All around Weissensee, 22 well-labelled Nordic walking and jogging routes with various requirement profiles are available. We particularly recommend our high-altitude "Naggler Alm-Rundweg" circular trail (Trail 9), which has - as numerous scientists have proven - an extra portion of health and joie-de-vivre. You can reach the starting point the easiest with the Weissensee cable car or the sweatiest via Trail 8 "Naggler Alm - Alpine Walking."
Every Wednesday and Saturday is Family Day! In the accompaniment of their parents, children under 15 and the transport of their bicycles are free!
Mountain high and river deep...
And now for something different: Use the Weissensee cable car to get to the mountain station, from where you can hike, jog, go Nordic walking, or cycle through the impressive landscape at an airy height.
Your path, for example, will lead you through Naggler Alm to Unternaggl. When you reach the so-called Paterzipf, you will be "picked up" by the ferry and brought back to the starting point near the Seebrücke bridge.
If you still have enough energy down in the valley, you can go the last bit by foot or by bike. We wish you a lot of fun!
Lodges and cuisine...
Our Alm lodges, which lie along paths that start at the mountain station of the Weissensee cable car, not only guarantee wonderful views, but also have something to offer for all tastes:
Carinthian specialities, home-made delicacies, and sweet titbits.
Special culinary tips:
Kohlröslhütte lodge A delicious "Kaiserschmarrn" (cut-up pancakes with powdered sugar and raisins) Hermagorer Bodenalm Alm cheese from its own Alm cheese dairy
The unique scenery around the mountain station of the Weissensee cable car invites you to relax, fill up on health and joie-de-vivre, or enjoy views of the Drautal valley, the Gailtal valley, and the Carinthian Alps.
