Help the Reeds – Together for an Intact Lake Shore
Non-native plants such as Himalayan balsam, Canadian goldenrod, and the invasive Japanese knotweed pose a significant challenge in the Weissensee Nature Park.
These fast-growing, undemanding plants quickly occupy their preferred habitat and overgrow the native vegetation.
We have made it our goal to combat these non-native plants, at least in the lakeshore area, on a large scale. Learn more about the impacts of invasive neophytes and help us in containing these “aliens”.
For active assistance, there will be a cozy Kärntner snack in nature.
