STOCKENBOI

NATURE PARK, LAKES, AND MOUNTAINS

The family-friendly tourist resort of Stockenboi at Lake Weißensee is situated between the Drava Valley and the Gailtal Valley, far away from traffic noise and with perfect conditions for holiday and leisure for those seeking relaxation.

Also known as the "Caribbean of the Alps", Lake Weißensee is the heart of the nature park community of Stockenboi. The newly built lido, with bistro and diving school, guarantees fun, sport and relaxation for the whole family.

The eastern shore invites to long walks along the lake, part of the hiking trail is our new, barrier-free educational lake trail. The nature park rangers take interested guests on educational excursions in the nature park.

Enjoy the fjord-like lake with its clear, turquoise-blue water on a Weißensee boat trip. The underwater world of the lake also makes the hearts of sports and amateur divers beat faster - the professional diving school will get you into this sport.

  • The innkeepers and farmers along the Stockenboi valley treat our guests to typical Carinthian delicacies - their own quality products at fair prices. Farmers' market full of atmosphere every Friday in the summer season. Tradition & culture are still alive and lived here.
  • Numerous accommodation providers - from campsites, inns, farm holiday providers to private landlords - look forward to welcoming guests who can enjoy their holiday in a peaceful atmosphere. Some of our private landlords do not have internet and can therefore only be contacted by phone.

Our local mountain, the Staff, and the Goldeck are a highlight for keen hikers - this mountain area boasts the most marvellous views of Carinthia’s mountains. Hikers will find here serviced mountain huts, where the innkeepers and alpine dairy farms serve their specialities.
