Invigorating. Diverse. Surprising.

Trails around the lake, Alpe-Adria flair, mountain panorama and the unique combination of biking and lakeside holidays: from spring onwards, Weissensee Nature Park welcomes cyclists of all kinds with an extraordinary variety in the sunny south of Carinthia.

MOUNTAIN BIKING AT LAKE WEISSENSEE

The landscape of the Weissensee Nature Park is made for a mountain bike holiday for holidaymakers of all ages, for sporty ambitious bikers and e-bike enthusiasts alike. All the pieces of the puzzle fall into place here already in spring. Among other things, you can expect:

  • 13 signposted MTB trails with a length of 160 km
  • 3 MTB trails built close to nature into the terrain
  • 1 natural pump track incl. small park for technique training
  • 11 serviced huts
  • 1 summer mountain railway at Weissensee, 3 more at Nassfeld
  • Connection to the "World of Mountains & Lakes" with up to 650 km of MTB and cycling tracks in Austria and Italy

BIKE HOLIDAYS FOR EVERYONE

With the combination of lake and natural landscape as well as more than 2,000 hours of sunshine a year, you will enjoy perfect conditions for (e-)MTB tours and family excursions in the Weissensee Nature Park. Many of the routes take you directly from the shore of the cleanest swimming lake in the Alps into the surrounding mountain world. In addition, there are countless possible combinations: You can take the summer mountain railway to high altitude trails or plan a Weissensee boat trip for a comfortable return. Those looking for more action will find it on the downhill trails. The levels of difficulty of the routes range from family-friendly valley tours to challenging descents via root tracks, hairpin bends and banked curves.

More than just cycling
