FISHING HOT SPOT
Free access to the lake, your own fishing boat and 22 species of fish: everything is prepared for anglers at Lake Weissensee. All you have to do is buy a fishing permit (the easiest way is conveniently online) and choose your spot on the lake. The fishing permit is valid for the entire lake!
At lake depths between 5 m and 99 m you will encounter whitefishes, carp, pike, perch and many other species. This means that you are always flexible when it comes to variations of fishing.
SERVICE FOR ANGLERS
The first port of call for anglers on Lake Weissensee is the Domenig rowing and electric boat rental shop in Neusach on the north shore of the lake. Treat yourself to a coffee in the bistro "Das Bootshaus" and cast off directly from the shore for leisurely fishing sessions. In addition, there are also numerous accommodation establishments around Lake Weissensee that offer special services for fishing enthusiasts:

THE ANGLERS‘ MEETING
Several anglers’ events take place at Lake Weissensee every year. Legendary is the traditional international fishing competition for the "Golden Trout of Lake Weissensee", which takes place in spring.
In autumn there is pike and perch conservation fishing and in winter there is ice fishing. In addition, a chart with the biggest catches is kept throughout the season.
2nd Fall FISHING
When the predator is hungriest, then it’s time to enjoy wonderful autumn days at Lake Weissensee in Carinthia. All anglers are cordially invited to the 2nd Fall Fishing.
All fishing enthusiasts who are in possession of a valid fishing permit for Lake Weissensee are eligible to participate. Your catches will be weighed daily from 6:00pm to 6:30pm at Schuler's Weinstube in Techendorf. The three biggest pike and the three biggest perch will be judged individually and awarded a trophy. In the overall ranking, the total catch weight is decisive. The most successful anglers win holiday vouchers and vouchers for guest fishing permits.
