Achornacher Alm
The Achornacher Alm is located sheltered in a basin at the foot of the Findenigkofel below the Karnische Höhenweg. At the hut, you will be treated to a lovingly prepared snack with Gailtal Alpine cheese. In the lush alpine meadows around the hut, dairy cows graze, and with a bit of luck, you might also spot playful marmots.

The Achornacher Alm is accessible via Stranig and the Straniger Alm, passing the Waidegger Alm along a well-maintained gravel road. A marked hiking trail, also appreciated by mountain bikers, leads directly from Zollner to the hut.

Tip:
Mountain biking on the popular bike trail from Nölbling via Zollnersee to Stranig, which passes directly by the Alm.
