Lecture: The Weissensee – Habitat, Dynamics, and Ecological Relationships
The Weissensee is one of the clearest alpine lakes in Austria and is a significant natural and fish habitat. Its communities are currently not in a natural balance. Changes in fish composition and rising water temperatures are considered possible causes.
The lecture will present current research findings on the ecological condition, biodiversity, and fish stock, and explain them in their contexts clearly.
Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for an open discussion.
