Torchlight hike amidst the ice worlds
A atmospheric hike across the largest natural ice surface in Europe, illuminated only by natural fire. Together with our nature park ranger, take a torch in hand and explore the Weißensee Nature Park.
Along the way, we will be enchanted not only by the darkness and glow of the torches, but also by the mysterious song of the ice. As it gets colder at night, the ice cover continues to grow and fills the winter landscape with mystical sounds reminiscent of whale songs, making the Weißensee "sing". You will learn fascinating facts about the incredible ecosystem beneath the ice surface, the influences on fish and microorganisms, and the importance of natural darkness for the nature park.
A hike with the ranger through the dark winter night thus becomes a unique experience.
After lighting the campfire, dough portions made from 100% organic ingredients are wrapped in snake shapes around our self-made skewers and grilled while enjoying each other's company. A warming organic punch will be served for young and old.
