Researchers have been studying the alpine lizards living at Straniger Alm for more than 10 years. The hike leads directly to the research team. Dr. Hans Recknagel provides insights into his interesting work on the research of alpine lizards.

Meeting point: 9 AM at the municipal office Kirchbach (approach by own car)
Difficulty: easy hike
Distance: approx. 8 km (600 m elevation gain)
Walking time: approx. 3.5 hours
What to bring: backpack with snacks and drinks, good footwear
Contribution: € 15,- per person
