The long route A:
Starting from the climbing village of Mauthen, historical paths lead to the Italian border. In the east, we ascend via the Nölblinger Grabensteig to the Zollnersee Hut, cross over the Kronhof Törl to Lago di Pramosio, and proceed along the Traversata carnia to the Freikofelsattel, where we descend back into the Austrian Angebachtal. Passing the Plöckenhaus, we reach the Untere Valentinalm and finally return after the march along the Roman Way to Mauthen. Those who manage it will be honored as “border crossers”!

The short route B:
Up to the Zollnersee hut, we march together. After the short descent to the Oberen Bischofalm, we turn directly here onto the path to the Untere Bischofalm. From there, the path leads us through Kronhofgraben outward until the turn-off to Kronhof. Via a forest path, we reach the farmsteads and turn west until we reach the turn-off towards Krieghof-Dolling. From there, we continue downward towards Würmlach and past Schloss Weildegg to Mauthen in the start-finish area of the ÖAV leisure park.
