Luca lives a double life: During the day, she works as a successful lawyer in Berlin, and at night, she serves justice in her own way and hunts people who have evaded punishment. As a trademark, she leaves behind a daisy. But after a nearly failed operation, mysterious threatening messages appear. Someone knows her secret and turns her into the hunted. A dangerous cat-and-mouse game begins, and soon Luca no longer knows whom she can trust.
Melanie Raabe is the author of thrillers, novels, audio play series, and non-fiction books. Her first thriller, "Die Falle," was published in 2015, followed by three more – all of which became Spiegel bestsellers. Between 2020 and 2025, two suspense novels were released: "Die Kunst des Verschwindens" and "Der längste Schlaf," as well as the non-fiction books "Kreativität" and "Das Jahr der Wunder." Her works have been published in more than 20 countries. "Der Schatten" was adapted for ZDFneo, "Die Falle" this year for Netflix, and several more adaptations are in progress. Melanie Raabe lives in Cologne, is a reading ambassador for the Stiftung Lesen, and a prominent patron for Nabu (targeted support for nature conservation projects).
